THE CHOICE OF A LIFE (2017) – Short film by Jeunesse Soualiga (Saint-Martin)

Released on July 12, 2017, “Le Choix d’une Vie” is part of the awareness campaign against gun violence and represents its main media asset.

Indeed, statistics over the past few years have shown an upsurge in offenses (despite a drop in 2016 by the Gendarmerie) such as:

– crimes,

– snatch thefts

– armed robbery,

– settling scores.

Thus, the CLSPD (Conseil Local de Sécurité et de Prévention de la Délinquance) in its mission to prevent delinquency on the territory has launched an awareness campaign on issues related to urban violence to which Jeunesse Soualiga has agreed to be project carrier.

OBJECTIVE :

To raise awareness among young people in schools of the risks involved (criminal and civil) when they engage in acts of violence.

Raise awareness among young people in local neighborhoods of the problems associated with violence and its impact on their environment.
Raise parents’ awareness of their role in preventing their children from becoming involved in delinquency.
Encourage civic engagement in the fight against violence.
Reduce social tensions, vandalism and delinquency in the area.
Reduce the feeling of insecurity in the area.

THE TECHNICAL TEAM :

Natson PAUL and Cyril NOEL are the most familiar with the camera and shooting, and are respectively cinematographer and assistant.

Editing will be carried out by the entire team of the Audiovisual Unit of the Communication Department of the Collectivité Territoriale de Saint-Martin.
